Your CFI Advisor is any faculty member of your choice who is primarily overseeing your CFI project, and has some level of expertise in the field of your project.
The expectation is that you will meet with this advisor (virtually or in-person) at minimum 3 times within the Branches phase of the curriculum (at least 3 times over the course of 17 months). These meetings will be tracked via the IDP check-ins. For more information on the IDP check-ins, click here.

You can search the database (Ctrl+F) to find faculty based on their specialty. For example, if your project involves a biomedical device designed for children, you can type the search terms: "pediatrics" as well as "engineering" to find faculty who may be area experts in that field.
As everyone on this list has at some point advised a UMMS student, feel free to email them with a brief introduction. You may link them to this site if they want more information about what the CFI is, and what their role as an advisor would look like.
